The Beginning

A basement, a barrel, a tank.

At Tiny Tank Wines, we believe that good things come in small packages. The whole philosophy is about crafting small-batch wines that show off the unique flavors and character of California's finest vineyards.

The name says it all. When I started out in 2014, there was no big budget and no fancy equipment, just a tiny tank in the basement of my house in Northern California, where I blended and fermented my first wines. Humble beginnings, but the bold, complex blends that came out of that basement built a reputation of their own. Eventually it only made sense to name the brand after the tank that started it all.

Today we still produce limited, one-off blends of reds, whites, and rosé. Each wine is tailored to my preferences, bringing together exceptional fruit to make a small family of intriguing wines, unrestricted by tradition.

So when you pour a glass of Tiny Tank, you're tasting more than the wine. You're tasting the passion, the dedication, and the small-batch approach that sets us apart.

Thanks for trying my wine.

Where it started

2014. A basement in Northern California.

This is where it all began, in the basement of my house in Northern California. It was very much a community project. I learned to make wine by reading a book, then working alongside a wine consultant and being mentored by at least three professional winemakers along the way.

That's how I got my start, with the original tiny tank tucked into the basement and a circle of friends willing to get their hands purple. Today, I make wine at a commercial winery here in North County San Diego, but the spirit of that basement still shapes every bottle.
